That was one of the coolest Deloreans at the show!!! I really enjoyed looking at it and you really did an AMAZING JOB with that car. I had a great time at the meet! The Delorean owners were fantastic! They are really a nice group and the show was so much better with you guys around. I really hope we are able to do it again. But gotta be at the same hotel next time! |

Hello For those of you that do not know me this is Ken. Jamse W and I put on the DCS/Bricklin event for you this year and we will be doing it again for you in 2010 in Lexington KY.
Being the first time we have done a joint meet we feel this worked real well and look forward to even a bigger and better show next time.
The Thursday venue allows us all to be together and we will be doing a similar venue with the photo and obstacle course in Lexington.
Jim told me you had done a show in I believe 1998 or so there and while he was there they checked out the Griffin Gate Resort. We met in Lexington and checked out a few places like the Raddison downtown again a beautiful place with a convention center but in the end the Marriott offer won us over.
We hope you liked the venue in Gettysburg and I do understand that some of you did not know that your Thursday fee included the Hotel venues but from what I learned you found them anyway like the Museum, Electric cars and BTTF room along with the obstacle course, dinner the photos and the steel drum band. What an awesome evening for all.
The fact that the Bricklin group joined us late in the planning made it necessary to have two hotels. Now that we have planned in advance we will all be together in one location on anything we plan in the future.
I think it was fun, akward, huge, surprisingly entertaining with all the stories of the two cars, and just a good time for all.
my e-mail is kkoncelik@aol.com and its always open for comments. Your own Stuart has e-mailed me a number of times so far and has thanked me for a prompt response. We (James and I ) will do whatever we can to accommodate you in the future and we are open to ideas. the next show is outside because of the setting its georgous. We again will hopefully have the whole hotel. (book early and often LOL)
This was a new era sharing a venue and from the DeLorean standpoint we were honored to have you join us as I felt you were honored we joined you.
Our goal while combining the events is to still seperate the two groups for the tech sessions, awards and certain aspects of the show since your cars and ours deserve being highlighted in each cars own way. The Friday and Saturday dinners were done with that intent. The Thursday and Saturday show was for each group to show off their cars and I think we did a great job at it.
So welcome to the DCS/Bricklin event I encourage you to promote it both together and as the Bricklin and Delorean event it is. This will be two shows sharing the same venue for the benefit of both groups. And we as DeLorean owners were very grateful for your patricipation thank you everyone who attended.

I just got my membership activated and would like to thank Bricklin International and all it's members for making the event truly memorable. I'm a car guy and a Bricklin admirer, whatever free time I had I spent with the Bricklin displays and peeked in quite a few times on your conference room at the hotel. I am especially honored that my car was voted "Best Original DeLorean" by the Bricklin guys. I didn't know there were awards exchanged between the groups and was ecstatic when I was honored by that distinction. I very much look forward to the next joint gathering as it can only further both marques and bring enthusiasts together...besides I already know all there is to know about DeLoreans, so I welcome the opportunity to learn more about the Bricklin. Once again, sincerest thanks for the award and for participating in the event. Harry & DeLorean Vin 2696 |
