Billed as the world's longest block party, Cruisin' takes place along the Mississippi Gulf Coast in the three coastal counties. The event is like a time warp with antique vehicles virtually lining the coast. Each county has several venues that you are encourages to visit and journey between, hence the "Cruisin'".
This year's event takes place October 5th thru 12th. Last year nearly 7,000 cars were registered! This coming year marks the reintroduction of a venue not seen since before Katrina.
The best days are Thursday through Saturday when ALL the venues are open, and I would encourage anyone interested to try to book a hotel in Hancock county; this is the less populated end of the coast and you will find yourself traveling in the opposite direction from the majority of the traffic in most circumstances.
