I got more info than I thought I'd find on a car that was so limited. Today, after more than 20 years of wanting a Bricklin, I bought #1568. I am taking it to a body shop Monday with hopes of being able to cruise around Darlington and Myrtle Beach before the end of summer.

Great site. Best one i have found on the Bricklin, so keep up the good work! I am looking for a Bricklin of my own right now and your site has helped me immensely. If anyone is looking to sell a 1975-76 red or white bricklin let me know. I would be interested. Thanks, and keep up the good work!

I dont get around on the pages much so if im posting in the wrong spot...sorry. I am a mechanic in Ephrata Wa. We have had a 75 Bricklin in our shop for a couple months or so. The owner inherited it from her dad and its going up for sale when its road worthy. It runs good and all...one of the major problems we are having is with the doors. They dont open and shut right. Perhaps someone can give ma a shout with info on where we can find parts etc. Or if anyone is interested and about how much a decent original car will sell for. Noone around here really know squat about them.

I have a 1975 bricklin for sale that i have had for several years, that needs work,the 351 clev v-8 runs very well,there is no frame damage,no dents,but needs work on the interior,and body. need more info please e-mail or call.

I was a 12-yr-old lad living near Woodstock, N.B. when the first Bricklins came off the assembly line, and I remember the bad press, as well as the Hartland, NB parade (Premier Richard Hatfield's hometown)the following summer.
Three white Bricklins were in it, with Hatfield driving one of them and all three with gull-wing doors wide open. They stole the show. I would have sold my own mother for one ($10,000 was a lot of bread back then, and for a pre-teen kid it might as well have been a million.
Now nearly 30 years later and an avid pilot, aviation,and Mazda rotary enthusiast, I stumble onto this site. While other priorities take precidence at the moment (career change, aircraft projects, my wife's ideas), I wouldn't mind getting my hands on a pristine example sometime over the next few years. Whatever you do, don't close this site!

I love Bricklins. As a kid, a neighbour had about 4 of them. The mechanic down the street from me owns one and services a few of them also.
While tearing up carpet today in my fathers house, I found newspaper he had laid down in 1978. There, staring at me, was an article about the sale of the last Bricklin during an Auction by Maynards Auctioneering, on behalf of Clarkson Co. It says the last car sold for $9000 to a man in Montreal, and goes on to interview the guy and give other information.
Needless to say, I gently peeled this newspaper from the floor. I've love to send you a scanned copy of the article, are you interested?

I just wanted to respond to a letter submitted by a Eugene back on June 7 regarding 4 Bricklins in Swift Current, Saskatchewan. Eugene obviously is going from heresay, and not from fact. I personally viewed 2 of the Bricklins this past week. They are definately not, as Eugene states,"reduced to parts car status".I will however agree, that it would take considerable amount of work to bring them back to life. The bodies of the 2 suntan ones I saw were perfect,no cracks at all.Mice had not completely destroyed the interiors as Eugene states. In fact,the interiors are in very good condition, even a factory plastic seat cover still on one of them. There is a fair bit of corrosion on the frame and underhood components due I suppose to excessive humidity in the shed they have been stored in. One has 15 miles, the other, I think about 80 miles. Unfortunately, the rear Bricklin logos are broken off on both of them. One more thing Eugene, Darlene is Mr. Forst's daughter, not his wife and she is very much alive. I did not get an opportunity to meet Mr. Forst although I talked with him on the phone. His daughters, Deborah and Darlene showed the cars to me and it was very nice to meet them. They are keeping the other two Bricklins which I did not get a chance to view. Apparantly, they do drive the other two on rare occaisions. I would however, like to thank Eugene for bringing these vehicles to my attention.

I'm 22 years old and don't have a license ...but I've been completely in love with Bricklins since I read a Macleans article on them about 2 years ago. Go Bricklin Go! One day you will be mine.

As a new owner of a Bricklin, I find this site very informative and entertaining.Salutations to those in charge. Just wondering if anyone remembers seeing the half hour CBC program on the Bricklin which was broadcast here in Canada way back in seventy-four or seventy-five. I still recall seeing Malcolm take the Brick thru it's paces on that show and really wish I could get a hold of a video of it. Any help would be appreciated. Great job guys and gals!

Where can I get further info on what happend to the rotary v-12 malcolm was working on with turner? Who owns the rights to this engine. I haven't heard anything since an article in mechanix illustrated in the 70's. I did however see a similar design in popular sci (I think) by a german designer that was basically 1/2 of the engine. Anyone have any more info on this engine?

You've kept the web site up very well over the years. Since I was the Chassis Designer/Engineer, eventually becoming the Chief Engineer for General Vehicle Inc., I check you out frequently. I have a huge file on the Bricklin car, photos and such, so one of these days I will have to share some with you. I also have many untold stories about the car and, more interesting, the people who were involved in the Bricklin.

I found something interesting at edsel.com. They have a registry where the cars are listed by serial number. You click on the serial number and it takes you to another page with all information known on the history of that particular car. Would you consider doing this? I'd be more than happy to fill in all the blanks on my car! vin #1864

Hi I have two friends that have Bricklin's i am a mechanic for one of them and i also have a bradley gt2 that im working on and i wanted to try to make a hydlic door system for my bradley i know the wiring but i could use a set of diograms on the hole system if you could help that would be great thank you mrosati1@cogeco.ca thank you

Just wanted to say you guys have a great site, and that the Bricklin is definitely an interesting car.
My uncle owned one years ago, and I still remember seeing its unusual doors raised in my grandmother's driveway when I was about five years old.
After recently asking my uncle if the car had been a Delorean (common mistake), I was quickly filled in and began looking up information about the car in my spare time.
It may not have been the most practical or reliable car, but I'll go out on a limb here and say that it was definitely one of the COOLEST automobiles ever produced. Who knows, I may even buy one someday, just to restore it for a hobby and then enjoy driving it around town.
