[/b] [/red] [b]Calendar of events: [/b] [b]Sunday 10/12 Arrival and informal dinner at a local restaurant [/b] Early arrivals may choose to visit the Charles Schulz (Peanuts) Museum, the Luther Burbank Home & Gardens, or the home of author Jack London. Dinner for early arrivals will likely be at Johnny Garlics (owned by Guy Fieri Food Networks host of Diners, Drive-ins, & Dives) [b]Monday 10/13 Driving Tour of Sonoma Valley Wineries [/b] We will spend the day enjoying a leisurely drive through the wine region valley visiting a couple of wineries. We will stop at highly popular markets/delis that have an unbelievable selection of food, cheeses, & wines, etc. Purchase what suits your fancy, as we will then go to a nearby winery and have lunch on their picnic grounds. [b]Tuesday 10/14 Drive a portion of the scenic the Pacific Coast[/b] We will enjoy a scenic drive to the coast making a stop in Bodega Bay, and then continue to Tomales Bay area and proceeding to Pt. Reyes stopping along the way for lunch and shopping. From there we will continue to Mt. Tamalpias for a visit to Muir Woods to see giant coastal redwoods. Finally, we will end up just north of San Francisco to enjoy views of the city and the Golden Gate Bridge. Dinner will be at a bay side restaurant with a view of the city. [b]Wednesday 10/15 San Francisco[/b] We will drive into San Francisco where we will park our cars at the famed Fisherman's Wharf area of San Francisco. I was able to find an easy route into and out of the city, avoiding the extremely steep hills and confusing restricted driving lanes that make getting around in San Francisco, a driver's nightmare. From where we park our cars, we will be able to enjoy the Fisherman's Wharf and Embarcadero areas, visit Ghiraridelli Square, and ride San Francisco's fabled Cable Cars to other significant areas of interest within the city.
