Message: Jonathon Bricklin is going to be there and is going to film. I am going to ask him to make us a DVD like he did in Horseheads. He did an excellent job last time and it has become one of my favorites. Plus the club made a couple bucks on DVD sales!

Message: Rooms are still available. Finally was able to arrange a flight. Just completed my reservation at the Bricklin rate. I believe our allotment was sold out, but if rooms are available they can override and do them at the Bricklin rate. So there is still time for you to attend. There is also a Super 8 that appears to be within walking distance of the hotel if this one sells out.

Yep, the following photos are of Prototype #2!
Note the headlight cover ... not square and intrudes on the fender...
I'm not sure, but I think that's electrical tape on the seams ... (good thinking!)
I think Rick should get a prize for 'hard core' Bricklin Fan!
That's Paul Robichaud (far left) and wife Debbie (far right) - 2007 Meet Director. Awesome job so far (and thanks again for the ride!).
I'll bet that stereo system is worth 10 extra horsepower with the speaker facing backward ...
That's Ron Jackson in from Arizona. Ron's hosting this year's BI Meet in AZ. Be sure to register if you can make this one!!
That, of course, is Herb Grasse and his lovely wife (Terri Lee?).
Watch for this teal car in the future. Jim Wajda JUST picked this up and this - unlike many that Jim has done before - will be restored to stock / original condition. Why you ask? Because this one has some history... meet 0224 (?) - the Road & Track test car! Congratulations and good luck with this one, Jim!
Prototype #2 has some interesting features ...

Here's the last of the pictures I got before the batteries gave out.
If you have pictures of the meet you would like to share, please feel send them to John T. Blair for possible inclusion in the Brickline. I would be grateful if you would also CC me. Be sure to send full-sized / best quality (do not resize or reduce quality) when sending to John (or me). As a rule of thumb, send your pictures in groups that, when combined, are less than 2 MB per e-mail as some systems will bounce mail over that size. Also, some systems have a cap on the amount of mail allowed, so you may need to submit your photos over a period of time.
Malcolm and Herb also made an announcement at the banquet about a new project that - if I heard correctly - is already well underway and should actually be made public soon. Keep an eye on the Visionary Vehicles website - http://www.vvcars.com.
In short, for those that didn't make it this year, you DID miss a good meet. Paul Robichaud & crew did an awesome job all the way from start to finish. Herb Grasse & Terri Lee's (sp?) presentation was as funny and entertaining as it was enlightening and informative. Malcolm Bricklin was great to meet - pleasant and accommodating in every possible way. They both signed so many cars and items of memorabilia that they will no doubt be sore for weeks.
Next year's meet is shaping up to be another significant one, too. Get your registrations in early when announced so you don't get shut out. Since 2008 is a joint meet with the Delorean group, that is actually a possibility!
Some of the fantastic art that was auctioned off last night....
For those that don't know them, here are the Bricklin International Owners Club Board of Directors (in attendance at the meet).
Starting with John Martin (standing) and proceeding clockwise, you have: John Martin - Chairman Emeritus Steve Stratton - Vice President Dwight "Doc" Schreck - VP Finance James Wajda - President Dr. Sandy Bigman - VP Operations George Malaska - VP Membership Stuart Zukrow - Bricklinalia Kevin Hand - California Regional Director Michael Mitchell - Webmaster / Ohio Regional Director (not shown - it's me behind the camera!)
Somehow we always get lucky and sit at a lively table. We laughed pretty much all through dinner and the following events. It was great to see 'old' friends and make new ones!

Message: One of the interesting items Herb related to us during his presentation was the selection of the Pantera taillights that we have on our car.
Malcolm needed to show a 'completed' prototype Bricklin on short notice - which caused Herb and his team to scramble. The Ford prototype taillights weren't ready, so Herb snagged the taillights off his present daily driver - a Pantera. They fit perfectly, looked good and since they could be had 'off the shelf' they were left on the car!
