The comments read: Visitors of the Classic Days were surely intrigued by this Bricklin SV-1 (for Safety Vehicle), a real rarity - especially over here - that could be seen on the parking lot for registered cars. With 2854 cars built in Canada from 1974 to 1976, this sports car designed for the US market had gull-wing doors, a fiberglass body and a V8 engine from AMC (1974) then Ford (1975-1976). The story of its promoter, Malcolm Bricklin, reminds John DeLorean's which happened a few years later, without much more success. |
