Tentative Meet Agenda Highlight/Day Trip Events: 10/20 Free day for early arrivals - Santa Rosa has a variety of interesting things to see and do. Santa Rosa is close by the famous Napa and Sonoma wine region and also just north of San Francisco which makes the host city ideal for the events of the meet. 10/21 Blackhawk Museum & Shops in Danville The Blackhawk Museum is a very nice auto museum sitting atop of a collection of nice shops and restaurants. For the auto enthusiast the museum is a must see collection. For those not interested in the museum, the shops, restaurants and water features offer shopping, eating, and photo opportunities. 10/22 Tour of the Napa & Sonoma Valley Wine Country Tour wine country and visit local wineries and markets where you will make purchases to assemble your own wine country picnic lunch! The surrounding wine region offers an outstanding driving experience via winding two-lane roads through rolling hills covered with vineyards. Depending on the preceding months weather, the grapevine leaves will be changing colors providing views that can be spectacular. During the drive we will be making stops at different markets giving you a chance to assemble a picnic lunch from a wide variety of food choices that will surprise you. We will stop at a winery to make final food selections and wine purchases and then have lunch on their picnic grounds.
For those that wish to tour a winery and participate in wine tasting, that opportunity will be provided as well. Depending on the winery, tasting fees can range from $10 to quite a bit more ($25+) if you wish to taste from their reserve or special wine collections.
10/23 Visit to San Francisco So much to choose from that you cannot do justice to what residents call The City. As a group we will visit the most iconic elements of The City (Historic Cable cars, Fishermans Wharf and Union Square The Citys shopping mecca. We will drive into the city and park. Parking is expensive so expect to spend @$20 for leaving your car behind for the day. A combination of cable cars and trolleys provide transportation in the city. Depending on your choice, transportation will cost an additional $10-$15 per person. 10/24 Return Home Sadly, time for most to return home
