I am an owner of an 82 Delorean and we have our own website www.dmcnews.com. I would like to compliment you for a superior site with great information. Great work by your site designer I hope this will be passed on to he or she.
Also I am looking to purcahse a Bricklin so your for sale site was great to find. I guess I would like more information on the problem with cracking of the body pannels and such. I saw a few comments about normal cracking problems which mean nothing to me now but would like to know more so I can be an educated buyer.

Hi, I'm from Fredericton, NB. A few things left out about the Bricklin:
1) The manufacturing plants were in Minto and Saint John, NB;
2)There was a 45 RPM single issued (late 1970's or early 1980's). It was recorded on the Tantune Records label by Carlie Russell, a local DJ from CJCJ AM Radio - Woodstock, NB (Woodstock's only 90 min from Fredericton). There were two parts to the song (The Bricklin Part I and Part II). The serial # on the 45 is MBS 0036 and was published by Mercey Brothers Publishing (BMIC). The address for the recording studio was as follows: Tantune Records, PO Box 518, Woodstock, NB Canada E0J 2B0. I suspect you will probably want to do some research on the 45, that's why I gave you the above info.

Hi

This may be old news but worth passing on. In Swift Current,
Saskatchewan, Canada, the owner Mr. Forst of the local TV station
purchased 4
Bricklins when the Bricklin plant folded in the 70s. He stored two of
them in a shed behind the TV station and two at his property. One he
kept in running shape, the other 3 were left in very poor storage and
have been reduced to parts car status even though they have less than
100 miles on the odometer. The batteries were allowed to freeze, crack
and leak between the seats, mice have invaded the interior. No
maintenance has been done on the mechanical. You get the picture. I have
not seen the cars personally.

In October his wife Darlene died and he is now in a nursing home. The TV
station has been bought out by CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Corporation).
The location and state of the four Bricklins is now up in the air.
They have two daughters, one lives in Regina, Manitoba and the other
Debra Forst lives in Edmonton, Alberta.

This information was given to me by the former Chief Engineer (20 years
there) of the station who moved to Calgary, Alberta Canada last year. He
has seen all the vehicles and even driven the one in running shape. I
will get the names of the owners and pass it on tomorrow.

I'm not a Bricklin guy but thought that this information is worth
passing on. I am located about 9 hours drive West from Swift Current so
its not feasible for me to pick up the cars or visit. Otherwise I would
try, only to turn them over and make some money.

Just thought I'd let you know that the Canadian Government just released a silveer commemorative $20.00 coin on the Bricklin. See the website for the Royal Canadian Mint for details. This isn't an ad as I am both a coin collector and admirer of the Bricklin.

I looked at the info concerning the 1996 Eastern National meet in Harrisburg, Pa. Please check again on the "Best of Show" winner. I have the silver plate in front of me. Zeke

As a previous Bricklin owner I was curious what's been going on with the marquee. Your site is great! If you have a member owning vin # 2618 feel free to pass on my email address, delornut@peoplepc.com. I may have some history of the car they could be interested in.

Best regards,
Bruce Benson

I have recently become interested in the Bricklin and I learned a lot from your web site. Do people ever take Bricklins and put other motors or parts in them. Where would you take a bricklin for servicing? I love the design of the Bricklin but is it a reliable vehicle or do I have to be rich to keep up with repair costs. Sorry for all the questions but your web site seems so comprehensive. Cheers Steve Millar joker@idirect.com

Amazing site... :-)
Did you use MicroSoft MapPoint to pin point all of the bricklins? I'm looking into purchasing it and just wanted to know, do you plug in zip codes? and they all pop up?

I have been a member of BI for over 20 years.
Here is a suggestion for inclusion in the web site. From time to time you introduce new Bricklin related products and mention them in the magazine. The latest one is the Bricklin watch. Why not include these items on the site with PICTURES. I would probably buy a watch if I could see first what it looked like.

I just finished watching the lead story of Discovery.ca on tv about the Bricklin, which gave an overview of a man who restores them. I was instantly reminded of when I was a child, and I attended an autoshow in Winnipeg, and met the creator of the car! The Bricklin was the coolest car back then, and still is!

My interest is in the original rotary Bricklin engine. Was it a success (I presume not) and where can I find comprehensive technical information about its operation and possible reasons for lack of success please?

I THINK YOUR SITE IS NICE, I GREW UP WITH THE BRICKLIN BOYS AND USED TO GET ALL THE ADVERTISING JUNK. I USED TO HAVE A ORIGINAL BELT BUCKLE, BUT I THINK I SOLD IT WHEN I WAS A KID. I VISITED NATHEN IN WALNUT CREEK CAL. LAST YEAR AND HE IS STILL A MANAGER FOR WELLS FARGO IN SAN FRANCISCO, NATHEN AND I USED TO BRING THE HEAD LIGHT COVERS TO SCHOOL AND HIT THEM WITH A HAMMER TO SHOW THE KIDS HOW STRONG THE FIBERGLASS WITH THE COATING WAS. NATHENS DAD HAD DRIVEN US TO THE LAKE TO GO FISHING IN THE FIRST BRICKLIN EVER MADE WHICH WAS WHITE. I REMEMBER THE FIRST SHOW ROOM IN SCOTTSDALE THAT WAS AT SCOTTSDALE ROAD AND BUTHERUS. LAST TIME NATHEN HE TOLD ME LEE IACOCA BURNED HIS DAD FOR 20,000,000.00, IT FIGURES, HE WAS A CHRYSLER MAN.

I was the original owner of a green 74. (0094, I think.) I have no idea if it's even still around. (It was sold while I was out of the country in the AF. I know it was painted some shade of brown after repairs, but this was years ago.) It'd be nice if the site had a list of which vehicles were still in existance. Maybe even with a blind forwarding email link to the present owner.
